This book is a must for anyone looking to find more happiness and less stress in thier life. Simple yet profound, this book walks the reader through the steps to rid oneself of perfectionism. By accepting reality, accepting failure, accepting successes, and accepting your emotions - you can be happier. The author makes a very good point: Perfectionism, like most of our vices, is just an extreme version of a positive virtue. Perfectionism, from this view, is but the extreme version of the desire to do well. The key is to find balance - and once you do, watch the vices disappear. How? Cognitive Therapy. By observing your throughts, beliefs, and assumptions about events that happen in your life and finding more useful and helpful alternative explanations, you will feel much better about your life and find life-solutions more quickly rather than falling into unrealistic expectations.
