I have read a lot of Michael Connelly and his detective Harry Bosch. Peter Robinson wrote No Cure for Love contemporary with Connelly's Last Coyote and The Concrete Blonde in 1995.It has a similar Hollywood setting. Connelly has written the foreword for the 2015 edition, applauding the authentic flavour. The similarities in the genre are there. It's about an obsessive stalker and it is creepy.Inspector Banks it isn't but Robinson has proved his versatility and his power to turn out a good yarn wherever it is set.His stand-alone novels, including this one, are all well worth reading
