A film about the real-life of Oskar Schindler, a Nazi businessman who uses Jewish concentration camp prisoners as slave labour in his factories. The story follows how war profiteering Schindler comes to care for his Jewish workers, and his efforts to protect and save them from the Nazi genocidal machine, primarily embodied by camp commandent Amon Goth. This re-creation in fictional form of the story of Oskar Schindler, a German Catholic industrialist who, as a munitions manufacturer, saved more than 1,100 Jews from extermination during WWII.
