Along with The Voyage of the Fox Rider, The Eye of the Hunter is among some of McKiernan's finest works. This author is a master of epic tales that evoke memories of the Lord of the Rings. Using poetry and song, McKiernan deftly weaves stories of little people accomplishing great things and considering the deeper philosophies of life.
