I love this series! A delightful, quick read with a great cast of characters. (Love that sexy Mick) I have read several and suggest that they be read in order gain the best perspective of the story flow and the characters development.

Former debutante Nora Blackbird and her sisters are placed in precarious situations after their parents leave the country for destinations catering to tax evaders. Nora moved back into the Blackbird homestead and struggles to make ends meet. On the down side, Nora acquires her first job in her thirty-one year old life as a society columnist to help pay off the two million dollar property tax bill. On the up side, she attends and reports on all the parties, banquets, balls, and major events of high society. On the down side, at her first assignment she stumbles upon the body of the host, a millionaire and friend of the family. When his dearest and closest friend is targeted as the prime suspect, Nora puts her talent for asking questions to good use to prove otherwise. Along the way, she stumbles into a dangerous situations and her sisters end up missing. Coming to her aid is Mick Abruzzo, a very sexy son of a mob boss.
