I kept reading this to the end, hoping for more substance and not finding it. The future setting was unnecessary. Disappointed.
Another great Eve Dallas novel. I figured out the antagonist pretty quickly, but that didn't detract from my enjoyment of the novel. I'm really loving the Peabody character. She's a great addition to this series.
Third book in J.D. Robb's "... In Death" series - always a good read! - read this when it first came out in paperback - am re-reading the series - I found this one to be a tear-jerker - won't give details, as I don't want to spoil it for others who've not read this series - don't get me wrong, it's not maudlin - it's as tight as any of her stuff with strong, realistic characterizations - we just have an opportunity to get to know "Eve" (the protagonist) a bit better
Hardcore murder mysteries with their flood of facts and details tend to make my head spin.
Fortunately, the main character's intriguing personality more than balances out the technicalities.
