Independent Publishing Group
When Adam started kindergarten, the teacher wanted him to learn about letters. But "p" looked like "q," and "b" looked like "d." In first grade, he had to put the letters into words so he could read. That was the beginning of the Alphabet War.

I was really impressed by this book. Both my 8 year old and I almost cried. My son was relieved and comforted to know that he is not the only child struggling with learning to read. The book cannot really be described as a happy book but it is hopeful and reassuring while still being realistic.
