Boring at best. Even at free it's over priced.

Don't waste your time. Fast Forward, you won't miss anything and will arrive at same place, wishing you had back the hour and half.

Not exactly my all time favorite film. Actually, it didn't do too much for me.

A decidedly different type of movie, it has a very slow beginning culminating in an extended scene of Rooney eating pie that nearly had me switching it off... but I’m glad I stuck with it as it turned out to be a surprisingly lovely film. There is very little dialogue, but the music score that accompanies the scenes is haunting and there was no problem figuring out what the lead character was feeling despite the actor being covered in a sheet. The themes of death, grief, loneliness and existence are presented in a rather ‘arty’ package but is worth the watch... you just may want to fast-forward over the first part :)

I thought I would quit watching it after the scene when she was eating the pie. But after all it is an art movie, and you can always fast forward it and get it.
It was very different. VERY. Some art movies are not even for art movie lovers.
Loved the music and cinematography.
Give it a try. If you got past the first 40 minutes you will be fine and survive the rest :)

Totally boring. FF through 90% of this movie and didn't miss much.

I don't know how anyone could misinterpret this movie as horror related given the description and the cover. Interesting, though a bit drawn out in parts, this explores time and loss from a creative point-of-view. I can't claim to understand all that was going on in the last half hour but it definitely made me think. And, yes, I DID fast-forward through the pie eating scene.

With a title of “A Ghost Story”, one would think it could be scary. Nope. Creepy? Naw. A thriller maybe. You wish. In the category of non-scary, non-creepy ghost stories, you have to compare it to say, “Ghost” or “Always” which are two good movies because … you identify with the protagonist or, at least, you know their character. In AGS, the protagonist is dead by the 12th minute. The wife is gone by the half hour. The rest of the movie has our main character under a large white sheet with two dark holes for eyes. What is his motivation? What kind of person was he? Was he warm? Were they thinking of having children? What did he even do for a living? Or her? There’s no connection. Every scene is a long take of him just standing and watching. He remains at the house long afterwards. Oh yeah! She left a note in the wall! He can smash dishes, pound on the piano but he can’t work a tiny note out of a crack in the wall. He gains abilities. The house is gone so he goes back in time so he can try to get the note again. Spoiler!! We never find out. That’s because … whatever. I started to get a message when the partygoer started rambling about how fleeting everything is. Even symphonies and works of art will eventually be destroyed by apocalypses and even if new ones replace those, the universe will eventually expand to slowly die of heat death. So? Live for the moment? Believe in a god? Try to attain access to one multiuniverse where it doesn’t die of heat death? Nope. Lets maintain the ambiguity and have the audience choose their own. This is called “pretentiousness” people. Make note: the director’s name is David Lowery. Stay away from that guy.

This moving was so drawn out and boring. After watching it I still don't understand the point of it. Wish I hadn't wasted my time.

I just watched 20 minutes of this movie and I'm on the scene where she is eating the pie. Seriously I want to slap the director of this movie. This could of been a Good movie but you messed it up!!! I thought this was going to be an intriguing movie...smh.
