Interesting series. This for some reason feels older to me than middle grade, perhaps because of the two main characters (Mom/Olive C. Spense, the ghost) and Dad (writer) NOT being kids as most heroes of MG novels are. I suppose you could argue that the boy, Seymour, is the protagonist, but this series bends the rules. Interesting construction, however, and it did have me reading from start to finish.
