The report reviews the current state of the science, identifies important uncertainties limiting the science, advises on future directions in the research and operations agenda for improving water resource management and the reduction of weather hazards, and suggests actions to identify possible large-scale impacts of localized weather modification. The report's committee finds no convincing proof of the efficacy of intentional modification but urges continuing research. Annotation ©2004 Book News, Inc., Portland, OR (booknews.com)
