Seeing some of the reviews I felt a little discouraged, but the book actually was not that bad. Definitely changed my views for Dragon Age: Origins, which this book is a prequel for. The pace was more or less pretty good, and the story-telling was nice. That said, it would probably only make sense to those who have actually played the video game series, but I do recommend fans to read this.

Being a fan of the this BioWare franchise I knew that the books would be amazing as well. And I was not disappointed. It helps to have played the first game to understand and fully appreciate the story. Some people find it slow and/or boring. I think it's just a matter of what yor Dragon age universe knowledge is. I highly recommend it to fans of the franchise.

I am addicted with the game but the books are not very good

Not a bad background novel. It covers off alot of what happens in the game and adds a bit more depth to the story in Dragon Age: Origins. Overall, it's a bit of a slow read, though, so only real fans of the game will likely get through it.

Not bad. It's a very good adaptation book, but a very mediocre fantasy book. I would only recommend it to fans of the game; it does flesh out the video-game world a bit more.
