Susan Wiggs, who lives and writes on Bainbridge Island, consistently turns out enjoyable historical fiction with intellect and that has been well-researched. Her books are fun to read and my trip to the Library worthwhile! This one is about women who have been abused in the 1800's, so it's interesting how that is handled.
