All Josie wants to do is to play baseball. She was a baseball star in her home town of Minneapolis. But when Josie’s family moves to a small town in Iowa, Josie finds herself in Hoover Middle School, where girls can’t play baseball! The girls in the softball team recognize her talent and plead her to join their team. But Josie refuses. She must play baseball. Then she has an idea: an all-girls baseball league! Will Josie’s idea fail, and will people make fun of her, or will she slide into home?
I loved this book. It was full of believing in yourself, standing up for what is right, and finding friends in unexpected people. I believe that and tween sports lover will enjoy this novel.
