I have read the following comment and disagree with the last statement. The novel does remain faithful to the original screenplays and added which was taken out due to time restraints because it was on television and Serling's battles with Censorship from both CBS and their sponsors of that time. People should cut Serling some slack. That was the 1950s and it was a different era at that time.

The forward at the beginning of the novel explains it. This adaptation of one of my personal favorite Twilight Zone episodes remains true to Serling's original vision.

I would love to see more adaptations of classic Twilight Zone scripts in the future.
