Of all the books on thyroid conditions, in my opinion this one does the best job of explaining what is going on. Dr. Myers tells you what can be done to improve your situation, or if you have been neglected by conventional medicine, how to get diagnosed in the first place. Further, she outlines a course of action to optimize your treatment, things you can do yourself such as change your diet and stress levels, as well as explaining how to get the most out of your prescriptions. This is a very important book that anyone with thyroid conditions or suspected thyroid conditions, needs to read.
