After the End of Days, ReGenesis did not disappoint. It's not one of my favourites but still a good story. With threats inside and out, I watched as Billy & company dealt with orbiting missiles, murderous members and more. The ending was particularly satisfying, and all that's left is a sequel.

Eric Walters is one of my favourite authors and this book didn't disappoint. I only wish there could be a third book.

‘Regenesis’ is a Sequel to End of Days (2011), which is my favourite Eric Walters book to date. ‘End of Days’ led up to the oncoming disaster, a killer asteroid coming from deep space to end life on earth. Regenesis, continues the story about the two pockets of survivors who hope to re-colonize the earth years after the asteroid strikes earth and kills over 99.9999 percent of the earth’s population. I was particularly impressed with a passage on page 35 in Regenesis.
“But think about it. For the first time in the history of mankind, the vast majority of the inhabitants stopped trying to kill one another and started working together to try and survive.” ”Unsuccessfully tried to survive,” Billy said. “We are that success. We are alive. There are people on the planet that are alive. The way we were going, our end was going to be just as certain without the asteroid. Whether it was through nuclear warfare or environmental disaster, our time on the planet was limited. Did you know the time of the dinosaurs lasted 30,000 times longer than as the time of man?”
This passage should get every reader thinking about how true these words seem to be. I highly encourage teenage readers and adults to read Canadian author Eric Walter’s books. For those who loved these two books, check out Susan Beth Pfeffer’s ‘Life as We Knew It’ - Life as We Knew It Series - Book 1 of 4. These four books are about the aftermath of an asteroid strike on the moon that drives it into a closer orbit to earth and subsequent disaster on Earth. Senior Doctor-at-Bass! D. A.
