This was a lot better then his smodcast book. That one i got about 2/3 way through and had to put it down. This book atleast enlightened me a bit behind the scenes of his movies and he is one funny guy. I wish he talked more about George Carlin though, he only appeared in 3 of his movies. Carlin was an icon to many many comedians back in the day, Richard Pryer, Chris Rock, Eddie Murphey (before he want disney.) If you dont believe me download "the 7 words you cant say..."

As with a lot of celebrity biographies, ultimately I got bored and didn't finish.

If you enjoy the way Kevin Smith creates his movies and podcasts then you know that this tell all book will not be censored at all. The Introduction is all you need to read to get a tone for the overall book. A great read and really an entertaining look into this man's life. You'll know more about him (and his sex life [and his fathers]) after reading, but you also might learn a little about yourself. Like the title says, it is 'Life Advice', take note.

Kevin Smith writes books pretty much the way he podcasts and creates movies. He doesn't seem to keep any secrets, after reading this book you'll know WAY more than you ever wanted to about his sex life. It is a funny book and I chuckled a fair bit. The whole reason I got this book was just for the chapter where talks about Bruce Willis; it did not disappoint. The chapter where he talks about being ejected from a South Western Airlines plane for being overweight was hilarious. He seems to have few delusions about who he is, but I do feel that Kevin Smith talks too much about his weight. I had never noticed it until he mentioned it (many, many times). Recommended for mature fans of the famous Kevin Smith movies: Clerks, Mall Rats, Dogma, and so on.

Sexual Content: Kevin Smith talks about his intimate affairs with his wife using more detail than is really necessary.

Coarse Language: Yes, there is a LOT of swearing in this book. Too much, really.
