I expect to thoroughly enjoy reading this book but, I should have been alerted that I was about reread a Mary Jo Putney novel I had read many years ago.

One of those rare books where the hero is someone who really struggles to overcome his past and his vices but despite bad behavior you are always rooting for him.

The Rake
