With the fight over whether global climate heating was occurring--punctuated by Al Gore's Inconvenient Truth video--the academic focus on the far more critical and much more complex subject of what climate change will mean in the geopolitics of the 21st C is finally receiving attention. Paskal's book is a valiant effort to map out the implications of climate change for the different major areas of concern. In this work, she explains these different areas, as well as spelling out what effective responses might look like. This subject is so crucial to understand what the world could look like, it is imperative to read serious books like this one. Great acquisition!

Good general introduction to global power politics, Paskal sees China becoming a major power (Russia, India and Europe are second tier), and global warming may cause major crises.
